Details About Education And Passion Of Richard Fifer Who Is Regarded As The Father Of Panamanian Mining

In the year of 1957, January 23rd, Richard Fifer was born in the Gorgas Army hospital at Panama. Richard Glenn Fifer-Carles was his full name and he was born to Mr. Richard Glenn Fifer Witte and Mrs. Celina Carles Montenegro. He had his primary school education at St. Mary’s school till his eighth grade. After that he continued his education at Curundu junior high school. At Balboa high school, he completed his high school education in the year of 1974. He was graduated in science and obtained his degree from the University of Utah. From the Rice University, he also obtained his engineering degree in the field of geophysical science. Richard Fifer obtained his post-graduate degree in finance from the Tulane University. Being a geologist who was trained from United States he opened his new line of research in the field of mining at Panama and passed most of his time for the mining exploration.



He was considered as the “Father of Panamanian mining” in his country and all over the world. Richard Fifer formed a group with well established scientists and led them to formulate new plan for the exploration of oil and gas. He covered the areas at Gulf of Mexico, Argentina and Venezuela at his early stage of profession. Later he covered many operational associates of oil industry of cities like Caracas, Maracaibo, Cartagena and Columbia. With his continuous effort from these explorations he started many new models at various Latin countries of America. As he moved towards to his interests, he had a strong passion in mining industry. His main aim was to start a project in mining in his own country Panama and contribute great benefits by means of that to his country. To achieve this goal, in the year of 1986 he found a place. Thus he started his goal and contributed to the benefit of his country.
